Alabama's Gulf Coast has been a hidden mecca for music... a gumbo of diverse cultural influences. The result is a vibrant music community resonating with a sound and rhythm that reflects life in this southern Avalon.

Each concert will be filmed in front of a live audience in the beautiful theatre at Bernheim Hall in the main branch of the Mobile Public Library.

Live from Avalon is a two-tiered project.

One - Increase awareness of the quality and diversity of our area's musical talent by producing a series of concerts in a "listening" venue.

Two - Produce a live performance television series of those concerts to be shown on Alabama Public Television.
