It's not everyday Sugarcane Jane gets to bring their sound all the way to sunny California but beginning Friday, June 26, that is exactly what is happening. Their first concert brings them to northern California to the home of a very dear friend who at one time might be seen backing the duo on gigs in Alabama, Rusty Miller in Yreka, California. Scott Valley Bank Summer Concert Series is in for a treat tonight with a dose of Sugarcane Jane + Rusty Miller and friends at 6:30pm in Miner Park. With Mt…Read more

The Frog Pond at Blue Moon Farm with Willie Sugarcapps
Gates 1pm Showtime 2pm
The Frog Pond at Blue Moon Farm in Silverhill, Alabama is a private outdoor house concert in a private home.
The venue is as distinctive as the performers. The Frog Pond itself, is an outdoor stage under a 200 year old Cedar tree on Blue Moon Farm, a property owned by Cathe Steele. Steele, and her songwriter friend Grayson Capps, took inspiration for the Frog Pond house concerts series from the famed “Midnight Rambles” conducted by drummer Levon Helm. As she describes it, the core idea is to bring musicians and serious listeners together in an informal but respectful house concert setting on the farm where the focus is firmly on the music and the community built through artists and listeners. It’s a magical place where music is brought back to it’s roots in a true listening venue where songwriters and musicians alike come together to “wood shed” and network. The Frog Pond offers each artist the opportunity to play with others that they would not normally have the opportunity to perform with while sharing fan bases & introducing their music to new ears in an incredible listening audience within an intimate venue of true music lovers.
At Blue Moon Farm, patrons bring their own chairs and beverages and are encouraged to participate in a communal covered-dish dinner. Overnight camping is allowed for out of towners. The house concerts are intimate, unique, and you must be on the guest list to attend as it is not open to the public. Please feel free to contact us for details and an invite to experience the musical magic and community of The Frog Pond at Blue Moon Farm.

Moveable Feast | Farm to Table Dinner
Moveable Feast is a series of annual dinners inspired by the changing seasons and the bounty of produce unique to each one. Held in a different location every season, Moveable Feast is a traveling culinary experience! The dinners feature gourmet meals and wine pairings designed and prepared by area chefs with fresh, local ingredients. As many ingredients as possible are grown right here in Baldwin County, or else are sourced from farms in Alabama and along the Gulf Coast. The mission is to reconnect the diner with what is local and fresh, and with the people who cultivate it.
The meals are set in the out of doors at long, communal tables, to help form a connection to the source of our food and the people who make it possible. Each location offers something different- a spectacular view over the water or a quiet pastoral scene, a grove of tall trees or even a slightly more urban setting.
Moveable Feast is brought to you in partnership with the Windmill Market, an open-air space in downtown Fairhope bringing consumers music, food, produce, and art- all from local acres, minds, and hands. Many of the producers who are supplying ingredients for these dinners also sell their produce at the Windmill Market’s Grocery.
The feasts hope to bring together those who are passionate about food, and love our land and sea and the abundant resources they provide. You are welcome at our table!
