Sugarcane Jane will NOT be going on tour with Steve Forbert on his July tour

We are sorry to inform you that Sugarcane Jane will not be on tour with Steve Forbert this July due to circumstances outside our control.  We wish Steve the best on this tour and hope all of our fans go out and see him.
Steve Forbert Trio
Steve will be appearing as part of a trio for ten special Eastern United States shows this July. With the intent of preserving the spontaneity of his solo shows, he is keeping the accompaniment sparse and acoustic.

Joining him will be percussionist Eddie O. Phillips, a longtime member of the Jackson, TN, blues music community, and lead guitarist Mark Stuart, best known for his clean, clear stylings on several albums recorded with his wife, Stacey Earle.

Material for these shows will span Forbert's 37 years as a recording artist, including songs from his acclaimed first two albums, the 1988 and 1992 discs made for the Geffen label, his Grammy-nominated tribute to Jimmie Rodgers, and a forthcoming 15th studio album entitled Compromised.

Hey, it's Steve's loss. His shows could not have been nearly as good as they might have been had you two played with him. We look forward to hearing you when we return to Alabama in October. Still wish you two could play Colorado some time.
